A variety of grasses thrive in zone seven climate, in our professional opinion.
Fescue is primarily a cool-season grass and does well in shade. Bermuda is increasing in popularity in new construction and is more drought-tolerant than fescue. Bermuda is typically a warm-season grass, so it goes dormant in the winter months. Centipede is a warm-season grass that thrives in coastal areas. It creeps and spreads and is low maintenance. Zoyasa is a warm-season grass and is also drought-tolerant. Zoyasa requires more care and maintenance than other grasses.

Post-emergence is applied directly to existing weeds to kill them. A selective herbicide targets weeds in certain turf while limiting negative effects on the turf. Non-selective herbicide is used when you want to eliminate all existing vegetation to which it is applied. This extensive knowledge is what makes us a landscaping company you can count on.

In the fall when temperatures are consistently below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, in our professional opinion. You will see it go brown and dormant. Once Bermuda has entered dormancy, it is important not to cut the grass (wake it up) until temperatures are consistently above 48 degrees Fahrenheit and the dangers of a hard freeze no longer exist, in our professional opinion. In a zone seven climate, this is typically mid to late April, according to our landscaping company. However, some lawns will see green-up sooner.
